As a globally active company, the Aalaf is aware of its special responsibility for sustainable development. We also want to make a clear commitment to sustainable corporate governance to the public and commit ourselves to acting accordingly in our daily business. For this reason, the Aalaf joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) at the beginning of 2022 and has thus committed itself to complying with and taking action in supporting the Ten Principles of the UNGC. Within our circle of influence, we are committed to upholding human rights, creating fair working conditions, promoting environmental and climate protection, and stand firmly against corruption and bribery in all its forms. The Aalaf has taken various measures to support the UNGC Principles in the past. Since joining, we have continued to drive this commitment forward. The UN Global Compact is considered the world‘s largest and most important initiative for sustainable and responsible management. More than 9,500 companies as well as over 3,000 employee, human rights, environmental and development organizations worldwide have already committed themselves to the UN Global Compact and its Principles – and thus to actively support responsible, sustainable business activities.
